Exploring the Forest of Emotions - Final Erasmus+ Conference in Cyprus
On October 14, 2025, Academia Gnosis in Nicosia proudly hosted the final conference of the Erasmus+ KA210 project "Exploring the Forest of Emotions". The event brought together educators, psychologists, parents, and students and mainly our partners from Cyprus, Slovenia, and Estonia, celebrating two years of collaboration dedicated to emotional literacy in early childhood education.
The conference combined both theoretical insights and hands-on workshops, giving participants the chance to exchange experiences, learn from each other, and explore creative tools for emotional development. Throughout the day, participants experienced the true spirit of the project - connection, creativity, and empathy.
🕘 09:00-09:30 | Participant Registration

The morning began with a warm welcome as participants arrived at Academia Gnosis. Guests from partner countries and local educators were greeted with conference materials and an emotional "ice-
breaker corner," setting a friendly and reflective tone for the day.

🎤 09:30-11:20 | Plenary Session - Theoretical Part

The plenary session opened with a welcome speech by Sophia Mardapitta, director of Academia Gnosis, highlighting the journey of the Erasmust project and its impact on teachers, children, and communities. Partners from Slovenia and Estonia, Tatjana Antonova and Kristina Loniskar shared their experiences, showcasing the emotional literacy materials and activities developed in their schools. The session also included reflections from educators Helena Osojnik and parents and a short video presentation summarizing the project milestones.
☕️ 11:25-11:40 | Coffee Break

Participants enjoyed a short coffee break, connecting informally and exchanging ideas. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged further collaboration and networking among schools and organizations.
🎨11:45-12:15 | Practical Session (Master Classes - Block I)

After the plenary, participants divided into small interactive groups to experience different masterclasses inspired by the project outcomes.

  • "Dance your emotions!" by Elena Protasova and Nina Komarnitskaya
  • "Collage" by Ariadni Hadjilouka and Olena loannou
  • Each activity reflected the essence of emotional learning - creativity, self-expression, and empathy.
🌈 12:30-13:00 Practical Session (Master Classes - Block II)

The second round of workshops continued the exploration of emotions through play, music, and storytelling.

Activities focused on creative expression, teamwork, and inclusive emotional education, giving every participant an opportunity to experience emotional literacy in action.

13:15-13:30 | Closing Ceremony

The conference concluded with a summary and reflection from all partners. Reflections and additional information of participation were awarded to teachers, and closing words highlighted the importance of continuing to nurture emotional education across Europe. The day ended with smiles, photos, and a shared sense of accomplishment.
The event marked not just the end of a project, but the beginning of many new ideas and collaborations. As one participant beautifully said, "Every emotion is like a tree in the forest - unique, precious, and worth exploring."
